“Yeah maybe. But negatives seem to be the only thing nowadays.”

This is a selective, multiship, multiverse blog for Barry Allen from DC's The Flash. I'm open to interaction with anyone and everyone.

Material
As I am 19, I will be offering smut as a roleplay option on this blog. I have several rules specific to this content, which you can see below. Because of this, there may be some NSFW content, but it will always be under a read more and tagged accordingly.
I'm also perfectly fine with other mature content including gore, depression, suicide, death, mild sexual content (innuendos, fade to blacks, discussions), profanity, or any other PG-13 to R-rated things.
**Note: While I may allow this material, it will not be the primary focus of my blog. In fact, I'd prefer as few threads with it as possible.**
While we're on the topic... I will do my best to tag when and if I see fit for blacklisting and also include potentially triggering material with #trigger warning, but I myself have few triggers so I may not know or realise yours. I ask that you approach me kindly and with maturity if tagging a certain thing or the way in which I tag becomes an issue and I'll do my upmost to remedy the situation.
Shipping
We respect all ships here. So long as you are respectful when presenting ships, I am fulling willing to include them in our threads, with the exception of ships of an incestous nature. So long as you aren't rude, pushy or inconsiderate about any ship, I'll do my best to deal. If I lose interest in a thread because of the ship, please do not be offended.
I am extremely uncomfortable with the Barry/Iris ship in the show. I consider the two of them siblings and have always felt like a lot of the romance between them was forced or done at the expense of the characters - Especially Iris. In general, I don't ship anything where two characters were raised as family, regardless of the actual blood relation they may have. This varies slightly in verses where Barry might be something more of a ward than a son, but seeing as that's not the case in the show Barry/Iris is a big no for me. This also goes for other kinds of ships, such as Barry/Wally and Oliver/Barry in verse 4. On the flipside, I do ship them and think they're really cute in verses where they were never raised together and have no knowledge of being siblings, such as in the comics and on Earth-2.

Smut
As both my muse and I are at least 18 years of age, I will be opening this account to sexual content roleplay if anyone is interested. I will only roleplay this content if you're at least 18, regardless of the age of consent in your country. I will make a point to ask you before engaging in this kind of content and I most likely will be keeping record of your age confirmation just incase.
I will not roleplay gore, BDSM, pedophilia, incest, lubeless anal sex or rape. I use these roleplays as a tool to expand my writing abilities and not for any kind of personal pleasure, so please don't ask about that, either.
I am most comfortable writing male/male relations, but I will attempt other forms of smut. Please be patient with me in these situations as I am still learning.
Crossovers, AUs And OCs
My character is primarily in the Arrow Universe and most of his story is based off the show, with slight influences from the comics and other media. Please refer to my other pages for further information. My muse would absolutely love to interact with anyone in this universes including OCs and Canon characters alike. You are always welcome to stop in or tag me in a starter.
That being said, my muse is 100% available to interact with everyone and anyone, including chacters from other fandoms and some of your very own. I prefer if you have some kind of about page or informational for your character before interacting - Yes, even canon characters, since everyone plays them differently - but this wont be an immediate disqualifyer if you don't. I will even interact with personals and sideblogs, if that's your thing. Fandoms I know or am familiar with will have first priority
Format
To some people, roleplaying in thread style isn't as rewarding. As a user of many platforms, myself, I can definitely see how certain styles of roleplaying make the thread format kind of dumb. I have been asked by several people if we can roleplay in other ways, but I'm sorry to say the answer is no. I will be keeping this muse primarily on this blog. I will update in the future if this changes.
I am available to do private roleplays via asks or instant messaging, if you prefer. The only objection I have is to fanmail, since it's bulky, irritating to look at and impractical for longer threads. For this reason, I ask you avoid it all together. I appreciate your cooperation on the matter.
Out Of Character Drama
I like to think I generally am a pretty patient and understanding person, in general. I try not to get involved in others conflicts where it's not nessessary and always offer a shoulder to cry on (or bitch at) so long as you don't drag me into anything. In fact, if you have need or want for a late night headcanon buddy or general loser dork bro, I'm happy to hand out my skype and other other contact info. I reserve the right to keep my mailing address to myself, however everything else is free game.
The only issue I have with out of character drama is when you do any one of the following:
⚡️ Drag me into something that's none of my concern
⚡️ Attack someone else (especially other friends of mine)
⚡️ Repeatedly insult me or put me down
⚡️ Guilt me into anything. This one I'm especially serious about because I'm very easily guilted and will not stand for someone taking advantage of me.
⚡️ Forcing me into anything I'm uncomfortable with
⚡️ Get involved in anything illegal
I like to be fair and understanding with every one and I get if you have a bad day, but if these are a continual concern or if seeing your posts on my dash start to become a difficult thing to see, daily, I reserve the right to unfollow, block and report as I see fit.
Roleplay Etiquette
As with most roleplay blogs on Tumblr, there are certain practices that you should adhere to just to make everything run smoother and decrease drama.
First and foremost, please understand the limits of your character and try to have a basic understanding of mine. The muse present on this blog is written to be pretty powerful and cannot usually be overpowered by his enemies, especially after multiple encounters with them. He's not going to be super easy to take out in confrontation. That being said, he is not without weaknesses and can be taken out, especially if your character knows about them or happens to have one of them on hand.
Secondly, don't take over my character. I understand that for certain situations writing that yours overpowered them in some way or perhaps forced them to do some action is necessary and I'm down with that, but these situations are rare. In most cases, you will roleplay the actions of your muse and I shall monitor the actions of mine. This way everyone is happy and no one gets accused of any sickly titles such as being godmods.
Third, please do not roleplay anything on my no fly list. Do not try to force me, trick me or manipulate me into roleplaying anything that I am uncomfortable with. I've very clearly laid out content that is allowed on this blog and am usually pretty open about most content, but I will not be made uncomfortable for the sake of your entertainment. Respect this and I will offer you the same courtesy in return.
Thread Dropping And Timely Replies
One thing that I do often that annoys a lot of people is drop threads, often without much word to the wise. If you interact with me, please be understanding of this. I will, likewise, understand if you don't want to interact with me for this reason.
Threads may be dropped for any of these reasons:

⚡️ Lack of time
⚡️ Our roleplay styles don't click
⚡️ The thread had no real direction
⚡️ I am distracted with other things

⚡️ I have several threads with you and the previous one seems outdated or irrelevant to the current storyline
Threads will never be dropped because:

⚡️ I don't like your character
⚡️ I don't think your writing quality matches mine
If you notice that one of our threads hasn't gotten a reply in some time, but you would like to continue it or continue roleplaying with me in general, I ask that you IM me or send me an ask and we can discuss it. 85% of the time threads are either lost in the garbage that is my activity or I simply am just trying to answer another thread or am busy doing research. In these cases, I will work on replying a little faster, but may require a little extra nudge.

Plotting
My absolute favorite thing to do is plot. You will never, ever annoy me with plotting and you are 100% encouraged to send me headcanons for our muses at all hours of the day. As a matter of fact, these little things tend to help me create better relationships with individual muses and their muns and will likely result in better and more consistant replies.
If you come to plot, I can try to offer thread suggestions based on information I read about your character, but the best results are when you come with some kind of a plot idea. Generally, my first question for people is to ask them if they have a specific idea in mind or a verse that appeals to them. If you are unable to see one of my pages, feel free to ask and I will be happy to reiterate what they say in asks or IM.
Generally, longer and more complicated storylines are my favorite and will likely result in more interaction with my character. Don't feel obligated to do these kinds of threads, though. If you want something simple and easy, I'm always down for that, too.
Mains And Exclusives
As a rule of thumb, I don't really believe in having exclusives, though on this blog I am going to be testing out something I like to call verse-exclusives, meaning that certain verses (such as my mainverse) may have people who are the only ones I interact with in that verse. I will be able to interact with other versions of that character still, but not in that particular verse. I likewise ask that, if you become exclusives with me that you make the situation mutual and don't invite others to roleplay off the verse we might have established.
As usual, I will definitely be having mains on this blog, who will have first priority over other roleplayers. These individuals will be chosen based on their character's chemistry with Barry, how long we've been interacting and if they've talked to me out of character to just get to know them or to develop our plot. Most of the time, I will approach people to ask them if they'd like to be on my mains list, but if you would like to be added, feel free to ask. If I turn you down, you are welcome to ask why, but please respect the decision.
Mun
The only thing I have to say is that the mun and the muse are not the same in everything. While I like to think that I share many traits with some of my muses, we are each our own separate entities and sometimes they do or says things that makes my skin crawl just as much as yours. For this reason, please do not instantly assume that because they say or do something to your muse that this reflects how I actually feel about you.
Likewise, any and all relationships they may form with your muse is to be solely between muses. We can be besties, but I am not particularly seeking romance at the time being.

About Barry
Barry was a relatively normal kid, born to Nora and Henry Allen, and he lived his first few years as kids do. Even from early on, Barry had a very particular sense of justice and he was known for getting targeted because he would stand up for other kids who were being bullied. Despite this, he lived a fairly happy life with his parents and never felt any sort of want or need outside of what an average kid his age might feel. Unfortunately, that all came to an end the night his mother was killed when he was eleven. He woke up that night to strange noises and the liquids in his room becoming suspended in the air. Confused, he wandered downstairs to find his mother in the center of the living room while a figure in yellow sped around her. He was carried out of the house at the last minute and, by the time he returned, the police were there and arresting his father for something he had not done. Barry tried to talk to the police, make them see reason, but they brushed his account off as trauma and dismissed it.
Barry was soon taken in by Detective Joe West, who felt for the boy and his situation. He lived alongside the detective and his daughter, Iris. Barry had everything provided for him, but it still wasn't home. He often requested to seeing his dad and when Joe denied him, he took to running away, leaving Joe to have to chase him down. Eventually, his persistance won out, but not with the effect he had thought it would; Barry learned that it was in fact Henry that chose not to let Barry come see him. He closed himself for about six months after that, chosing to be angry instead of letting himself grieve the loss of his parents, but Joe eventually managed to talk him out of it and continued to give the boy love and support as if he was his own son.
Barry began to heal over the years, though he never truly ever let go of his insistance that his father was innocent. He ended up being targetted by bullies in the years that followed, especially by one in particular - Tony Woodworth. He couldn't escape school fast enough and as soon as he was ready for college he got himself away from Central City, pushing himself hard into his work. His home and the unfinished business still waiting for him there called to him, though, and Barry eventually made his way back to Central City, getting a job in the CCPD and working alongside his father figure of many years. He ended up using his position there to chase down weird cases, often which got him in trouble with his boss. One even brought him to Starling City, where he met the Arrow and formed a friendship of sorts with the team. His whole life would change, however, on the night of the particle accelorator explosion, when he would be hit with lightning while staying late at work one night. The incident would leave him in a coma for nine monthes and when he came out of it, he wasn't just Barry Allen, anymore...
... Now, he was the Flash.
Relations
Descriptions of all the people in Barry's life and his relationships with them. Your muse does not have to immediately have this relationship with my Barry, but if we do not discuss things prior to interacting, these are the relationships that will be assumed.
Family
Nora Allen......Barry's mother, who died when he was eleven. He's been trying to learn to accept her death and his part in it, but it's proving to be harder than he ever imagined and there will always be a part of him willing to sacrifice everything just to hug her one last time.
Henry Allen......Barry's father, who was wrongfully imprisoned over the death of his mother, Nora Allen. Barry has spent his whole life trying to prove his father's innocence, even if the rest of the world thinks he's wrong to do so.
Joe West......Barry's adoptive father, who he admires and loves very dearly. Just like with his biological parents, Barry would do anything for Joe, whether that meant having a chat with Wally to make him happy or giving up his life to make him safe.
Iris West......Barry's adoptive sister, who he probably loves more than any other person in his life. If there was ever someone Barry was destined to meet and to love, it would be Iris. He would do anything for her and sacrifice anything to keep from losing her.
Wally West......Barry's adoptive brother. At first, he was a little withdrawn from Wally, worried about his own place in the West family and about being replaced, but with time he's come to love the kid as much as he does any of the Wests and thinks of him as a little brother, knowing there isn't a lot he wouldn't do to keep him alive and happy.
Eddie Thawne......A pretty boy cop who Barry had initially been skeptical towards. After some time, however, he began to realize how happy Iris was with Eddie and came to accept them together, coming to see the man as something of a brother.
Friends
Cisco Ramone......Barry's best friend, with whom he shares many interests and aspirations. He would do anything for Cisco and is not afraid to go through great personal risk to keep him safe.
Caitlin Snow......Barry's friend and a true confidant. He loves Caitlin dearly and does his best to protect her while helping her through many of the tragedies she's faced. Their mutual pain is often a bonding point between then and he ready would trust Caitlin with his life.
Harry Wells......An Earth-2 inhabitant that aided them in the fight against Zoom. While Barry initially was hesitant towards Harry because of his resemblance to the man that ruined his life and betrayed him in the past, Barry has since learned to look past that guise and really gained to appreciate and respect Harry, coming to see him as a mentor as he had his predecessor.
Jesse Quick......The daughter of Harry, who joined Team Flash after they managed to rescue her from Zoom. While she's never really been interested in being a perminent member of the group, Barry still adores her and would do his upmost to make sure no harm comes to her.
Felicity Smoak......An employee and partner of Oliver's that she met while visiting Starling City. He might have liked her kind of, if there'd been any kind of motivation to persue a path of romance, but instead he's just formed a really cool friendship with her and knows that he could rely on her if ever his own team was caught up for some reason.
Allies
Oliver Queen......A man he met while chasing an unusual case in Starling City and later learned was the mysterious vigilante, Green Arrow. They've had several team-ups here and there and Barry really looks up to Oliver, both as a fellow hero and as a friend.
Kara Danvers......After being temporarily tossed into an alternate Earth, Barry met up with and quickly befriended Supergirl after saving her from falling out of a building. The duo swapped a couple hero stories and Barry was able to offer her a little advice in the business. He doesn't know if he'll ever see her, again, but if he does that would definitely be a really great experience for him.
Enemies
Eobard Thawne......The Reverse Flash and possibly Barry's greatest foe. The man who was both responsible for the death of Barry's mother and for giving him the gift of his powers, in the first place. Under the guise of Harrison Wells, Barry grew very close to the man and even grew to love him, but the betrayal of everything he'd done hit him hard and broke his heart. All he has for Eobard now is anger and hate.
Leonard Snart......A Rogue and a criminal who is in many ways Barry's only true equal. Leonard managed to figure out Barry's secret identity and used it to strike a deal with the speedster - Let him continue his jobs without the Flash's intervention. Barry agreed under the guarantee that Leonard would do no more killing. Since then the two have formed a weird relationship. Barry wouldn't consider Snart a friend, persay, but he would not go out of his way to call them enemies, either.
Hunter Zoloman......A serial killer and a tyrant on Earth-2, Hunter camd to Earth-1 under the name Jay Garrick and pretended to be a friend of Barry's and the others, but when his true identity was finally revealed, it was yet another notch in a long list of betrayals in Barry's life. His dedication to ending Zoom and stopping him from hurting anyone else is still burning deep in his core, just waiting to be let free.
Exes
Linda Park......A passionate and cool reporter that Barry dated for a while. The relationship eventually ended because she felt he was too invested in his sister. He was sad it broke off, as he'd been coming to really like her, but he was not particularly hung up about it for long afterwards.
Patty Spivot......A cop and a former partner of Joe's, who he got very close to very quickly and even considered telling her about his identity as the Flash, but after Mardon was caught and brought to justice, Patty decided to break things off with him and leave for bigger and better things. Barry was heartbroken over the decision, but he refused to be the one to hold her back and let her go without much of a fight. He's still a little caught up with her and wouldn't say no if she ever came back wanting to reignight things, but is in the process of moving on and hopefully finding someone new.
Others
Barry Allen......While he didn't have a lot of time or interest to really get to know his Earth-2 counterpart, this other Barry seems like he's got his heart in the right place, even if he's missing a lot of courage to go with it. Still, he came through for him and his Iris when it mattered and he could definitely give props for that.
Roy Harper......Having met the kid during his team-up with the Arrow in Starling City, Barry's gotten to meet Speedy firsthand and really see what he's made of. He definitely seems a lot of drive in the kid, but really the best part about him has got to be that red suit of his.

( v2.1 ) Death Doesn't Discriminate......Set prior to the events of Season I; Barry is a broken kid who has recently lost his mother due to an unfortunate murder in his childhood home. The local police are convinced that it was the boy's father that commited the horrible crime, but Barry isn't so sure. He knows what he saw that night and he's vowed to someday make that Yellow-clad monster pay for taking everything from him. He's filled with a lot of rage and sadness, but maybe this new family that's taken him in can help with that a little. All threads are independent of each other, unless discussed otherwise.
( v2.2 ) The Calm Before The Storm......Set prior to the events of Season I; Barry has come a long way since he was that angry little kid, finding family in the Wests who so kindly took him in, but he has never completely moved on from the death of his mother. He's got a job at the CCPD as a forensics scientist and he's incredibly good at it, but he does not always go home after hours, instead spending much of his freetime trying to find his mother's killer and reexamining a case that only he considers to be cold. All threads are independent of each other, unless discussed otherwise.
( v2.3 ) Origin Story......Set during the events of Season I; Barry has just woken up from his coma and is beginning to learn the full extent of his powers. He's made friends at Star Labs like Cisco and Caitlin who are pushing him to improve his speed. He's also found a new mentor and confidant in Harrison Wells. Balancing his life as the Flash and his life as Barry Allen isn't easy, but somehow he's making it work. All threads are independent of each other, unless discussed otherwise.
( v2.4 ) Welcome To Earth Two......Set during the events of Season II; Immediately following the defeat of the Reverse-Flash, Barry finds himself facing off against the Singularity, which has opened a rift in their world and is consuming everything in its path. This event causes several breaches to open up and act as doorways from Earth-1 to Earth-2. A new and terrifying enemy arrives by the name of Zoom, but Barry is not completely alone, as he's got Team Flash by his side... Now featuring the newest Earth-2 additions of Harrison Wells and Jay Garrick. All threads are independent of each other, unless discussed otherwise.
( v2.5 ) Flashpoint......Set during the events of Season III; Barry, in his grief, tries once again to go back in time and stop the Reverse-Flash from killing him mother. It works and he spends three months living in an altered timeline that seems to be far better. Unfortunately, the timeline is not as great as he initially thought and eventually his carelessness results in the death of Wally West, also known as the Kid Flash. Barry realizes his mistake and eventually returns the Reverse-Flash to his past to kill his mother, presumably to fix the timeline, but things don't work out quite like they're supposed to and he must now deal with the reprecausions of his actions. The Flash AUs
( v4 ) They Wanna Make Me Their Queen......Barry Queen verse; After the unfortunate death of his mother, Barry ended up in an orphanage for a short time. After donating a sum to the orphanage in question, Moira and Robert made a show of visiting the place and Robert grew quite smitten with a young Barry. Eventually, the couple ended up adopting him and raising him alongside Oliver and Thea, although it was made rather obvious to him from early on that most did not consider him in the same standing as them. He worked hard during his childhood to prove himself equal to them and eventually ended up getting scholarships to several notable schools. He ended up forgoing many more prestigous career paths to study forensic sciences, still privately obsessed with the man who had killed his mother. For a time, he worked in Starling City, not quite ready to leave his new family in order to redeem his old one. Having been closest to his adoptive father and siblings, the death of Robert and Oliver hit him very hard and, with Thea turning to drugs and Moira coming to view him as nothing but a reminder of her late husband, Barry realized he'd overstayed his welcome in the Queen family. He quickly had himself transfered to Central City without telling any of them, putting all his time and thought into solving his mother's murder. He was very happy when he heard news of Oliver's return, but chose not to return to Starling City to see him, believing he would not be welcome back in the family after everything that had happened. ( v5 ) The Damage Is Damning Me Down......Reverse-Flash verse; Barry like most kids in his time, had started out adoring the Flash. The hero had been everything to him and he had always like to imagine another world were it was him running across the streets doning the Scarlet color and saving people. The Flash had been his idol once, but that all changed the night his mother and father died. He had been out with his parents when a fight broke out between the Flash and one of his adversaries. The resulting conflict ended up causing a lot of damage and his parents were among many caught in the crossfire. Barry himself ended up in the hospital in a coma for several days and, when he awoke, he was not the same boy that had gone under. He started becoming obsessed with the Flash, revenge taking hold of his young heart and twisting it to something black and bitter. He decided to take everything from the Flash, as that is what he felt had been taken from him. Beating him would not be easy without studying him, however, so Barry dedicated his life to it, learning everything there was to know about the Flash and then some. He tried to recreate the Flashes powers one night, convinced that if they were matched than he could overpower the other based on rage alone, but the experiment didn't go exactly right and Barry ended up with similar speed powers, but of an opposite nature. Believing it to be poetic symbolism, he declared himself the Reverse-Flash and went about destroying everything Flash had and undoing everything he had done. He knew he would not rest until the Flash had suffered as he had suffered. All threads are independent of each other, unless discussed otherwise.
( v6 ) Light-Up Sketchers......Kid Flash verse; After a lot of begging, Barry manages to convince Joe to let him come see where he works. At first, the day seems normal, but when a freak accident happens at Star Labs, Barry finds himself on the short end of a lightning bolt. He's trapped in a coma for nine months and, when he wakes up, he finds he has gained the ability to run at an incredible speed. He realizes very quickly that his gift can be used to help other people and decided to take up a secret identity to go and fight crime when Joe isn't looking. He's a little young to be the Flash, quite yet, but maybe he's just the right age to be a Kid. All threads are independent of each other, unless discussed otherwise.

( v7 ) Keep An Eye Out For Silver Linings......Silver Age Verse; Barry Allen. Spends his days falling behind at work and his nights showing up late to dates with Iris, but somehow he finds the time to save a couple lives as the Flash around all of that. ( v13 ) Escaped From The Speedforce......Rebirth Verse; Somehow, after disappearing into the Speedforce, seemingly for good, Barry has reappeared in the lives of his friends and family. The world is different than he remembers, but it's not all a bad thing. In fact, he's just glad it's finally starting to catch up. ( v14.1 ) What I Needed Was A Partner......New 52 Verse, set during the events of The Flash; There's ten years of Barry's life that are missing, events and people altered in ways he can't even begin to understand. He's been spending a lot of time thinking about this, recently, but time is a precious resource these days. With a speedforce storm striking Central City and bringing with it a plethora of new speedsters, Barry is finding his hands full dealing with everything all at once. ( v8.1 ) Today's The Day......Young Justice Verse, set during the events of Seasons I and II; Barry Allen. Member of the Justice League, Fastest Man Alive and - Most importantly - World's coolest uncle. He's worked with Wally for a while now, teaching him the basics of being a speedster and watching him grow with pride, but there comes a time when kids start to grow up and need a little more freedom. His partner getting a promotion is definitely a great thing, but he can't help but be a little worried about what those kids are getting up to without someone there to keep an eye on them. ( v8.2 ) He's Been Lost To The Speedforce......Young Justice Verse, set after the events of Season II; For all Wally's faults, Barry had never doubted he was a good kid. He had been a great sidekick and an even better nephew, but fate was a cruel mistress and she had taken him far before his time. ( v12 ) Nothing I Can't Run Off......Flashpoint Verse, set during the events of the film; Barry is a great hero with a great team and they've come to save his skin more than once, but even heroes have something they want and for Barry, that is to save his mother. He may not be Batman or Superman, but there are people who need help in this world and he'll still do what he can to give them that. The trauma of the event led to his mutation being activated and from that day onward, Barry found himself able to move faster than any other man he'd met. He's spent the first few years hiding his abilities, but as mutants became more well known, he decided he wanted to find others like him - But doing so would mean coming clean about who he really is.
